We came here because a local suggested it.We didn't enjoy our night out for the following reasons:
1( service was very slow (We have been waiting for half an hour till someone finally came to take an order).
2) Aci reale salad was not good (chicken was burned and had a bad taste)so we had to return it.
3)we ordered Spagetti alle vongole e cozzed but the Mussles we over cooked
3) Polletto Panini was not good either Chicken was difficult to chew!
All in all it was nt a pleasant expwrience.
Maybe Saturday is not the best day to visit them
I have a lovely night at Locanda Popolare. Sadly I don't speak Italian but the staff was very welcoming, offering us an Englisch Menu that we could scan via a QR code.
The food and drinking options are very good, from fries to pasta, pizza, burgers and more to choose. Beer is served from the tap, wine options from a jug. The food was very good, plenty enough to sadly pass the desert options.
I had a seasonal pizza (Decembri I think) which was amazing, never had pumpkin as a pizza sauce before.
All in all, very friendly staff, plentiful and good food and a lovely night. I highly recommend this place!
We came to this restaurant several times during our honeymoon vacation, and each time, we were not disappointed! Staff were friendly, and offered us an English menu, as well as sending over staff that could speak English, which was very thoughtful; they were brilliant and patient when my husband practised some of his Italian too! We tried several dishes on the menu, and each were quality! Also a stunning venue, perfect for wine and relaxing.
Amazing restaurant with amazing and super tasty pizza. The atmosphere of the terrace is also very cosy and pleasant.
Big portions, we had to take it away and eat it as a breakfast. Pistacchios on the pizza are highly controversial, but you don’t feel it as much. Pizza fritte is big and greasy. Good atmosphere around and staff is also quite nice.
Not only food but easily the best dining experience I had in the area and Catania. When we entered, they welcomed us and answered our questions. Very friendly staff, amazing food, good prices and portions compared to anything else you can find around. Everything was tasty. Sparkling red house wine is a must have. Also, a very well designed, comfortable and chill space. I highly recommend.
Seems like a new opened place. You could tell that the pizza dough is very good with airy crust. The octopus salad was fresh and tasty too. Overall I like the vibes and service. Try it out!
Very nice place! Lovely staff, nicely designed interior, and good food. They are flexible, kind and helpful, prepared a pasta that was not on the menu according to my wishes… appetizers were great and also the house wine was a very lovely surprise :) (never had this light frizzante red wine before). Way better quality than the rest of the pizzerias and restaurants in the area, definitely recommended!
